GLOBAL GATHERING, UK

24 July, 2009 / SFX

BPM services were requested my two main stage artists to add additional stage production to there performances at the Global Gathering performance.

Steve Angello wanted an industrial look, high visual, high brightness non light affected LED lighting structure and bespoke videowall graphics designed. His 5 piece LED set up was compromised of 2 x hexagonal truss sections with pixelbaton providing a SIZE logo, 2 x Itile sections and an industrial DJ box, all with specialist LED lighting incorporated.

On the SFX side, Steve had confetti hits of love hearts & white paper with multi coloured balloons and also 7 second 4mtr silver Gerbs and silver jet strafe for pyrotechnics.

Eric Prydz also had a large ‘industrial look’ set up with 6 – 2 x 3.2 mtr steel rectangular truss sections filled with Pixel Bar inners, specialist LED colourblocks  and large strobes and blinders with video wall graphics of the show also designed.

He also had a vertical CO2 System, Pyrotechnic hits of 8mtr Gold Flitter & Red Mines and 6mtr Silver Jets and a stadium shot finale firing streamers over 50 mtrs into the crowd.

BPM also provided a bespoke CO2 Ice Cannon system and an LPG Flame system for Axwell’s headline performance in the packed Toolroom Arena, finishing it off with a high impact pyro and confetti finale.

BPM also worked alongside the fantastic Gods Kitchen ‘Boombox’ in its own Arena when performing two confetti/streamer hits with white confetti/streamers and a CO2 Ice Cannon system & CO2 streamer cannon system outer on the Boombox, for trance favourites Above & Beyond and Sander Van Doorn performances.

Our thanks go out to production manager Neil McDonald for being so very accommodating on his site!
