We had the absolute pleasure of being able to supply SFX for the 2025 BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend in Sefton Park in Liverpool.
We have had previous involvement in past festivals and we were incredibly excited to be asked to take a part yet again in such a special weekend for some amazing artists. This year we supplied SFX for headliners Sam Fender, Mumford and Sons, and Tom Grennan as well as James Hype.
The festival was one of our most high-profile of the year and had an attendance of over 100,000 as well as being broadcast on BBC iPlayer for viewers at home where our SFX could be seen.
For this year’s festival we had the pleasure of supplying Stage Pyrotechnics, Galaxis G Flames, Showven Sparkular Jets, Magic Fx Hellfires, and X-Treme Shots, with each headline act ending their set with gigantic Display Pyro.
The event saw our staff overcome on site challenges, with each act requiring a different stage set up. Alongside this, large quantities of Pyro had to be organised and installed each day for all headlining acts.
The results of the weekend spoke for themselves, with all of the SFX creating an incredible atmosphere on stage for the artists as well as a captivating the festivals crowd.
We hope to return next year for another BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend.
